Adventuring the: Oak Bay Beach Hotel

For Max & mine 3 year anniversary we wanted to do something nice and treat ourselves. We decided to book a room in one of Victorias most luxurious hotels; The Oak Bay Beach Hotel. They had a “Romance Package” which included demi bottle of Pol Roger, a red rose, chocolate covered macarons and a complimentary room upgrade. I was really stoked that  our room got upgraded to an ocean view and 2 queen size beds! We also decided to add an extra night on. Check in was at 4 and check out was at 11 or 12 and we wanted more time there. Definitely the right call!

Our room was east facing so we wanted to watch the sun rise over the ocean. We set our alarms and woke up bright and early only to see overcast haha, but that’s life in the Pacific North West. Considering we were already up we decided to head down to the “hot seaside mineral pools” and have a nice early morning soak. It was so relaxing, we didn’t see a soul because it was so early.

We also spent quite some time in the eucalyptus steam sauna which was probably my most favorite thing, ever! I love steam rooms and you throw some eucalyptus in there and I am one ecstatic girl!

That evening we wanted to go back into the pool but it was closed because there was a huge storm hitting the coast. So we decided to go for dinner at “The Snug Pub”. They had a really delicious Garden Melt which had grilled portobello, tomato, zucchini, wild rocket, melted provolone and basil pesto. Deeeeee-lish! The storm continued all night and into the early morning. Luckily it cleared up and we had time to hit the mineral pools one last time and we left to a beautiful rainbow and a nice sunny day. It was the perfect little mini vacation and I’m so happy we splurged and treated ourselves. This was an amazing hotel, the staff were all super friendly, very welcoming and did their best to ensure you had a excellent stay. If you’re thinking about treating yourself or a loved one I’d highly suggest going here. Yes, its pricey but sooooo worth it!
